The Trust's Premises Expand!

The Trust has just signed the lease on the upper floor of our building, and so will be taking over the whole building at the beginning of June. This extra space will allow a further range of activities to be offered at our Halifax centre, but there will be a small amount of disruption in June as we re-arrange things and also install a lift! The lift will be positioned in the current physiotherapy room, so that the door to the lift will be where the current door is; the whiteboard will be moved upstairs and a new door will be positioned about half-way down the corridor to the back door. At the same time the corridor will be widened to make access easier. We are also widening the doorways into the Sensory Room and to the rear of the building, again to ease access, and installing a further toilet upstairs. We are very grateful to The Community Foundation for moving out of their own building, but they appreciate that it is much more economic and sensible for us to expand in the same building rather than take over a new set of premises as an additional centre. We will keep you posted as the building work continues.
