Emma

Emma left Ravenscliffe at 19. The Next Step Trust was just starting up, and initially Emma had one day a week there and three at Huddersfield College. Two years down the line she lost her place at Huddersfield due to 'lack of progress'.

Thankfully The Next Step Trust was able to offer her a place for those three days and she hasn't looked back. There's no questioning of her abilities and everyone has worked hard to try and improve her physically. She is in a stimulating environment with her peers; she has access to physiotherapy; she cooks us some wonderful cakes; and with the help of her two great carers, she gets out and about in the community. The friendly supportive and energetic atmosphere suits Emma, and she even had her 21^st birthday celebration there.

We'd like to give a big 'Thank you' to everyone who worked so hard to set up The Next Step Trust - as far as we are concerned it is a great success.
