As a small charity with big objectives, the Trust is always looking for additional help, particularly volunteer helpers. We do rely on volunteers to do much of the work, so can YOU help?
Volunteers are needed in many aspects of our work. The Next Steppers have a varied range of activities both in and away from the centre, and all of these need a high level of supervision.
In particular, some of the Next Steppers who would normally share a carer, need one to one support if on a work placement or doing particular activities. We welcome volunteers to help with catering or supervising catering activities for example. What about the Sensory Garden - could you help with basic horticulture? Or are your skills more administrative? What about help with fund raising? Are you good with words - can you write grant applications? Or organising fund raising activities - fun runs, bring-and-buy sales?
Whatever your skills and whatever amount of time you can devote, I'm sure we can use you. If you would like to discuss any opportunity, please do contact any of us at the Centre. We look forward to hearing from you.

Shirley comes in regularly to assist Gary with his lunch, and Kath is one of our longest standing volunteers who has shown her support from the first day we openned our doors.

Lynda helps Jill in the kitchen (usually with the washing up, but occasionally with the Charleston!!), and Caroline serves up a smile with strawberries and ice cream.

The team of volunteer fund-raisers set off on the Three Peaks Challenge raising funds for a new minibus. And help in the garden kindly provided by HBOS/Lloyds volunteers.
