Clay House: We are expanding!

Due to our ever increasing numbers and popularity of our services, we are excited to announce that we have expanded to additional premises at Clay House in West Vale. The building is a characterful Jacobian house dating back to the seventeenth century (take a look at this link to learn more) and it is approximately two miles away from our main centre in King Cross. The additional building affords us the space and comfort to maintain a quality level of service without compromising the needs of individual Next Steppers.

The centre at King Cross was becoming very busy at times, so now a core number of Next Steppers will be based at the new premises but will still access their regular variety of activities along with additional facilities available at the new site. Next Steppers from both buildings will maintain regular mutual contact when accessing joint activities such as going bowling, swimming, cycling and hydrotherapy sessions. Our selection of transport means we can easily manage the links between both sites with little disruption to peoples' timetables, person-centred plans and routines.

We see Clay House as an interim facility and we are actively seeking additional, more permenant premises to fulfil our long-term goals and predictions. We are very enthusiastic about, and committed to the futures of the young adults who use our services and we endeavour to offer the best level of long-term support available.

We will post up-to-date photos of the new building and facilities very soon.

We also remind parents and carers of the open evening at Clay House which you should have received a letter/invitation for. If not, or for further information please contact the centre.
